Terms of Service

Draft. Have a solicitor read this before launch. These terms are the agreement between you and the operator of Devotions. They apply whether you use Devotions as a creator, as someone paying a creator, or as a visitor.

Who can use Devotions

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a contract where you live. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

What Devotions does, and does not, do

Devotions gives creators a public page and tools for taking payments from their audience, including games played live on their stream or from their page. We are a platform between a creator and the people who choose to support them. We are not a party to what a creator promises their audience.

Payments and fees

Payments are processed by Stripe. The creator receives the amount displayed. Devotions charges the sender a service fee on top, shown in every total before they pay. For a game, you pay the entry when you start a run and your card is saved so that what the run adds can be charged automatically when the run ends. Nothing is held on your card. The most a run can cost is displayed before you pay, and we never charge more than it.

Acceptable use

• No sexually explicit material, and nothing sexualising minors.
• No gambling, wagering or lotteries. Games are entertainment a creator presents; a play is not a bet and must not be promoted as one.
• No regulated or prohibited goods, harassment, hate, infringement, fraud, or manipulation of the queue, a game, or payment flows.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you publish and grant us the licence needed to host and display it. Send copyright complaints to support.

Moderation

Anyone can report a page. We may warn, unpublish, hold payouts, suspend or terminate, faster and without warning where there is risk of harm, fraud or illegality.

Liability

Devotions is provided as it is. We do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error free, or any level of earnings. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the service fees earned on your account in the three months before a claim.
